Right-of-Way Access Permit Applications:
These permit applications are available upon request. A permit fee of $65.00 is required.
Applicant must give the exact location of proposed access and provide a detailed sketch on the application. Marking the proposed access area with flagging or lathe is also necessary for the inspector to approve the permit.
Primary concerns for access installations:
- Sight Distance
- Culvert necessity and size
- Slope from the county road to the proposed access
- Driveway road base, width and angle

Snow Removal Permit:
Certain county roads are not maintained in the winter. Individuals are welcome to apply for a permit to plow these roads themselves. A permit fee of $250 is required along with a performance bond. Private Maintenance of County Roads Application:
These permit applications are available for individuals or companies that require a higher level of maintenance on county roads than county forces are able to offer. A permit fee of $500 is required along with a performance bond in an amount determined by a county representative. Download policy and form now.
Private Construction of County Roads Application:
In order to facilitate improvements to a county road not planned or budgeted by the county, individuals or companies may apply to the county to perform the improvements themselves. A permit fee of $500.00 is required along with a performance bond in an amount determined by a county representative. Download policy and form now.
Minor Right-of-Way Work Permit Applications:
Any work performed within a county road right-of-way that does not qualify for any of the other Road & Bridge Department permits and does not involve extensive work may fall under the Minor Right-of-Way Work Permit. Please call our office or Download form now.

Special Transport Permit Applications:
Generally, if a load requires a transport permit for the state highway system, a permit is required for our county road system.
Any load exceeding any one of the following shall carry a permit issued by our department:
Width: 8 feet 6 inches
Length: 70 feet
Height: 13 feet 6 inches
Weight: 20,000 lbs. each axle or 85,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight
Certain conditions shall apply depending upon load configuration, weather and daylight conditions, days of the week, holidays and destination.
