MAIL-IN BALLOT INFORMATION (Formerly known as ABSENTEE)
Timeline for Filing/Information needed. A mail-in ballot application shall be filed no earlier than January 1 immediately preceding the election and no later than the close of business on the Friday immediately preceding the election; except that, if the applicant wishes to receive the mail-in ballot by mail, the application shall be filed no later than the close of business on the 7th (seventh) day before the election. Your request may be in the form of a letter, but must contain your printed name, signature, legal residence address, date of birth and mailing address for the absentee ballot. You may also print a copy of the Mail-In Ballot Application below. Fax or mail your letter of request or application to the Meeker office address: Rio Blanco County Clerk & Recorder, PO Box 1067, Meeker, Co 81641 [Fax #970-878-3587]. Your completed application or request for a ballot to be mailed must be received by the close of business on the 7th (seventh) day before the election.
Permanent Mail-In Option. You may choose to apply as a permanent mail-in voter by checking the appropriate box on the application form. Permanent mail-in voters have a mail-in ballot automatically mailed to their address each time there is a coordinated election. If you choose this option, please keep your residence and mailing addresses current.
Party Affiliation Required for Primary Elections. For primary elections only, you must be affiliated or affiliate with a political party to vote that party�s primary ballot. Unaffiliated voters may affiliate at the time of application for a mail-in ballot or at the polls on Election Day.

EARLY VOTING
Early Voting is available at the locations listed below the week prior to any primary election and 2 weeks prior to any General or November election from 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please contact the County Clerks office with any questions 970-878-9460. Early voting is not utilized in a mail ballot election.

REGISTRATION STATUS
If you failed to vote in past elections or have moved, please check with the county clerk's office (970) 878-9460 to verify that you are still registered. If you have moved, you are required to change your voter registration address with the county clerk. You may print a change form, complete, and mail to the Meeker Office address above.
