We strive to provide accurate, timely and useful financial information and services for the County's internal management. We strive to provide public accountability for financial reports, to maintain accurate records of all county financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, applicable statutes, Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements, and governmental auditing standards.
We provide accounting, accounts payable, employee's payroll and benefits, vendor and payroll tax filings. We ensure grant compliance, preparation of financial statements, managing the increasingly complex financial environment of capital projects and grant accounting, prepare policies and procedures, compliance/disclosure reports. The Budget division prepares, controls and maintains compliance with Colorado Budget Laws. We provide support and advice to the Board of County Commissioners, Elected Officials and operating departments related to financial issues, policy and strategic planning.
