The Clerk and Recorder's Office is responsible for voter registration, the conduct of all primary, general, and November coordinated elections, motor vehicle titling and registration, real estate and other recordings, marriage licenses, liquor licenses, and recording the proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners.
As of January 1, 2015 all Colorado newspapers are required to post their legal notices to the Public Notice Colorado website. There is a tremendous amount of information on there for every county and city in Colorado that publishes legals!
NOTICE: Election results are available by clicking on the "Elections" link on the left side of this page.
The County Clerk & Recorder's office has moved to a temporary location at 1032 Jennifer Drive (across from the Rec Center on Sulphur Creek). Our phone #878-9460 and PO Box #1067 remains the same. All UPS and FedEx addresses should show the new address instead of 555 Main St. We will be in the temporary location until February, 2016 (or until further notice) while the Courthouse is being remodeled. The Rangely office is not affected by this move.
Due to the Clerk & Recorder’s office move, public access to the research vault will only be available by appointment. Appointments can be made by calling the Clerk’s office at 970-878-9460 or stopping by at 1032 Jennifer Drive. Requests for items need to be made by contacting the Clerk's office and we will let you know how soon we can get them.
